The median home value within ACT’s 8-county region and its localities is defined as the home value reported by the homeowner to the Census Bureau, adjusted for inflation to 2021. The median represents the midpoint of home values (half the values are above the median and half below).

The median home value across our 8-county region has been steadily increasing at an average annual rate of 3%, rising from $109,850 in 2010 to $155,850 in 2022.

Orleans County
In 2022, Orleans County boasted the most affordable median house price at $122,200, whereas Ontario had the highest median price at $192,800.

In 2022, the median house value across the whole region was $155,850, which is less than half of the median house value of New York State, which was $384,100.
