This indicator displays the percentage of people under 65 who are not covered by some form of health insurance, including public programs such as Medicaid and Medicare, in our 8-county region and its localities.

  • The United States Census Bureau provides the data for the total number of individuals in our 8-county region that do not have health Insurance coverage including Medicaid and Medicare. The data spans from 2012 to 2023.

East Rochester

In 2023, 6.6% of people in East Rochester were without health insurance, the highest of any locality in the 8-county region.

Rush

In 2023, 0.6% of people in Rush were without health insurance, the lowest of any locality in the 8-county region.

In 2022, Brockport was the locality with the highest percentage of people without health insurance at 6.42%. This has decreased to 4.90% in 2023.
